Board flight from Jammu to Gaya. Transferred to respective hotel in Gaya. Overnight
in hotel.
Today Start from the Mangla Gauri temple and pind daan gaya and later proceed for
Mahabodhi Temple complex. You can easily spend 2-2.5 hours exploring important
spots and admiring the life of the great soul.
12 pm – 2 pm: Most of the monasteries and temples are closed for 2 hours during
noon. Try local dishes and traditional food for lunch.
Later Visit the Thai Monastery which is a few steps away from Mahabodhi temple.
Next, you can visit the 80-foot Great Buddha statue, one of the remarkable
attractions of Bodh Gaya.
Visit the Royal Bhutan Monastery and the Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple. Both
are located within walking distance of each other.
Depart Gaya and visit to Nalanda university. It and was a centre of learning from the fifth century CE to1200 CE. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later transfer to Patna. Overnight in Patna.
After breakfast proceed for
Gandhi Sanghralaya: The museum highlights the role of the father of the nation ie Indian independence. Set up in a serene atmosphere, it provides a glimpse of the lifetime of Mahatma Gandhi.
Gol Ghar: Golghar or Gol Ghar is a granary located to the west of Gandhi Maidan. Captain John Garstin built the architectural marvel; in 1786. The purpose of building this granary was to store goods during the times of floods and famines.
Patna Museum: The Patna Museum houses an impressive collection of Mauryan and Gupta stone sculptures. The museum contains an unusual collection of historical artefacts like weapons, Rajasthan miniatures etc.
After breakfast depart for your return flight.
